As the Ministry Assistant at Bethany Baptist Church, Wendell NC, my job is to create a variety of different digital and print products. Bethany was in need of a rebrand for their Student Ministry from "REFUGE" to "Bethany Students". To help rebrand, I created a new logo to represent their high school ministry!
Old Logo Design:
After reviewing the old logo design, as well as the Next Gen Minister's needs, my goal was to make the logo feel more modern, simple, and represent the liveliness of a high school ministry while keeping the brand colors and personality.

Compositions
I started by sending the following designs to the Next Gen Minister after some rough drafts were created. I kept the Century Gothic font for the "bethany" part of the logo, and found a new bold and textured font for the "SM". The designs with check marks next to them were the designs chosen after the Minister consulted his team.
Final
After the Next Gen Minister chose his final designs, I created different color variations based on their brand colors for each variation of the design. They were very happy with the result, and it's now being used to decorate spaces, brand designs, and as a portfolio picture on their social media account!
