As the Ministry Assistant at Bethany Baptist Church, Wendell NC, my job is to create a variety of different digital and print products. Below are a variety of print products created and utilized by the church over the years I have worked there.
Christmas Cantata Handout
December 2025
Our Choir director was in need of a Cantata handout for their upcoming annual Christmas Cantata that displayed their theme for 2025: Oh Little Town of Bethlehem. She asked that the Bethlehem scene be displayed on the handout and that a verse be displayed on the back page with our logo. After discussing her needs, I got to work in Canva to create a handout that matched her needs.
I found a starry night image of the scene of Bethlehem and started compositing different starry sky images to create a cohesive background that covers the entire layout. I then started looking for fonts that resemble the timelessness of this story and ended up using "Playfair Display SC" for the titles and a sans-serif font for paragraph text. I added our logo to the front and back of the handout to display our branding for the Cantata, as well as the Bible verse she requested be on the back panel.

Lastly, I displayed all personnel and disposition in an easy-to-read format, with all typography staying at 10 points or above. I also added the starry night background to the inside panels for a theme that blends across all pages. Our choir director loved the final design and printed over 100 copies for the event!
Women's Ministry Banner
April 2026
Our Women's Ministry leader requested that I create an indoor banner to use at their church events for photo-ops, decorations, and branding. She asked that the background be green and that the overall look be "feminine but simple to match any event".
I created a 50x26" banner design in Canva and added a calming green background with watercolor flower arrangements in each corner. Lastly, I found a feminine font called "Amoresa Aged" and added a butterfly over the apostrophe in "women's" to add another feminine touch to the overall design.

Christmas Eve-Eve Postcard
December 2025
To advertise our upcoming Christmas Eve-Eve event, our Pastor asked that I create postcards that our members could pass out to friends and family. Our Pastor asked that the design have a simplistic Christmas theme through the use of colors and icons.
After reviewing their needs for this project, I created a 6x4" postcard with red and green colors to match a "Christmas Theme", as well as pine tree branches with string lights in each corner to create a balanced and comforting aesthetic. On the back of the design, I wanted the display of activities to be clear and still have a Christmas vibe to them, so I created icons to represent the activities with circle backgrounds and a shadow to give them depth. After tweaking some wording, the Pastor approved the final design for print and started passing them out to members to advertise!

In conclusion, all of these products were very effective in advertising Bethany Baptist's events and ministries as well as furthering the growth of their church.
