My goal for this project was to fill the "organization is key" section of the HGTV magazine. To do this, I needed to consider who would be reading this magazine and what would would attract the reader. Since this is the fall release (after the relaxing summer time), people would be getting back into their work routines and busy lives. Therefore, organization is key. Since HGTV is a home magazine, I decided to go with the approach: "When life gets busy, you need an organized home/office space." From there, I did research on products good for organization and found this trendy 5-tier bookshelf to display in the magazine. I decided to draw the bookshelf in isometric view with Illustrator and display important features the viewer would want to see. I used an Isometric grid, 3D tools, the pen tool, and gradients to create this beautiful drawing. This project spanned 4 weeks and had many important steps, so I created a case study below!
